Everyday the faces are changing thought the faces keep reflecting an image of myself

And sometimes all these faces seem stunned by the impression of the fortress that’s myself C

Still the people and places keep changing I wanna say I stay the same

but I mean really who am I kidding

foundations may be solid but the walls are crumbling and shaking
C
and I keep changing

the people and the places and the faces and the race is with myself it’s with myself

And I wish I could stop shining this terrifying blinding floodlight from myself

Cuz I’m feelin like a driver with a deer caught in my headlights that I will probably take out C

But the last thing that I want is for these walls to always stand though I fear their
C C
destruction and the strength I can unleash upon this land
C B F
But I believe that I’m a healer though I’m not sure to what end
F C
Is encouraging broader thought considered mend

And sometimes all these faces so shocked by introspection remind me of myself

Still I keep on rearranging and I’m always trying to grow

It’s I who constructed the walls and it’s I who must tear them down I know

Cuz I’d rather share my garden with faces all aglow

And sow the seeds of a future I know time will only show

In my garden I will grow with the people that I know
